Lazy Otter Charters, Inc. is a family owned and operated charter and water taxi operation harbored in Whittier, Alaska. Captain Mike Bender has been operating Lazy Otter Charters Inc in Prince William Sound since 1994 and is pleased to be expanding our fleet and offering the same renowned reliability and customer service. NEW for 2011, we offer kayak rentals, and we have added the Qayaq Chief, formerly of Honey Charters, to our fleet!

Lazy Otter Charters is the new owner of the Qayaq Chief, a 22 passenger landing craft, providing safe and reliable transportation in Prince William Sound from Whittier. The Qayaq Chief is specially designed for beach landing and ease of loading and unloading. Perfect for Water taxi transport, group adventures and small freight hauling.

 

 

Lazy Otter Charters continues to operate the Explorer, a six passenger vessel, designed for speed and beach landings. The Explorer is the perfect vessel for small groups for custom sightseeing adventures, scuba diving excursions, and water taxi for kayaking and camper drop off.

Drive into town, keeping the small boat harbor on your left.  Turn left at the stop sign (at the ferry terminal) and look for our big green roof, next to the East boat ramp.
