Travel through the island passageways of these old growth forests as Captain Mike takes you into the heart of the Prince William Sound. View humpback or orca whales, cruise among the largest collection of tidewater glaciers in Alaska or explore around the numerous islands looking for puffins and other sea birds.

Once aboard we’ll discover your personal priorities and design the day to customize your experience. Your adventure could include the thrilling experience of cruising among the numerous glaciers in Harriman Fjord and voyage to the face of towering tidewater glaciers. Sit surrounded by ancient icebergs while you listen and watch as these mighty rivers of ice carve their way down to the water's edge. Or cruise deep into the heart of Prince William Sound looking for humpback and killer whales. We’ll likely see Dalls porpoise, large rafts of sea otters, and rookeries of fascinating sea birds in route. During the trip we will find a remote beach to go ashore for some beach combing and examine and intriguing tide pools teeming with sea life. Or we'll go on a short hike to experience this northern most rainforest. A delicious Alaskan style lunch is included. Onboard marine toilet, and comfortable indoor seating, outside deck space for photography.

Blackstone Glacier Cruise Half-day Excursion 4-5 hours

Blackstone GlacierOur journey up Blackstone Bay takes us close to shore admiring the sheer cliff walls and tumbling waterfalls in route to two tidewater glaciers, Beloit and Blackstone. In less than one hour from Whittier you will be sitting face to face with an expansive wall of ice. Tucked up in a safe nook between Blackstone and Northland glacier enjoy a delicious Alaskan style lunch. The rest of the day will be spent exploring a kittiwake rookery and bald eagle nests. We'll cruise into nooks to examine waterfalls and find a nice beach to step ashore to experience the natural geology of this glacial carved fjord.

Sea Kayaking Day Trips in Prince William Sound

Kayaking Prince William SoundWe also offer escorted sea kayaking day trips. This is a great option for those folks who have just a day to adventure, or want an additional level of safety.

Travel aboard the "Explorer" to Blackstone Bay, just a short 45 minute scenic ride from Whittier. After anchoring, we unload the kayaks and review paddling techniques and safety procedures. Launching off the beach, we’ll begin to glide silently along the shores and tidewater glaciers of Blackstone Bay.

We’ll return to the beach or boat for a hearty gourmet Alaskan lunch and warm drinks.
No experience is necessary! Kayak, spray skirt, paddle and dry bags included. You need to bring, boots, layered clothing, a camera and a spirit of adventure.
